Prof. Zhijia Zhao

Guangzhou University, China

Prof. Zhijia Zhao received his Ph.D. degree from the School of Automation, South China University of Technology, in 2017. His research interests primarily include intelligent control of robotic systems, flexible structural systems, and intelligent unmanned systems.

In recent years, he has led and participated in over ten major research projects, including sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program of China on intelligent robotics, as well as key, general, and youth projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has published more than 100 SCI-indexed papers, including 16 ESI Highly Cited Papers and 3 ESI Hot Papers. He holds over 10 authorized invention patents, with one of them successfully commercialized, resulting in a technology transfer valued at 1.6 million RMB.

Prof. Yu Liu (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in automatic control from South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China, in 2009.,He was a Visiting Student with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Concordia University, Montreal, QC, Canada, from 2008 to 2009; and a Visiting Scholar with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lincoln, NE, USA, from 2017 to 2018. He is currently a Professor with the School of Automation Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology, and also with the Research and Development Center of Precision Electronic Manufacturing Technology, Guangzhou Institute of Modern Industrial Technology, Guangzhou. His current research interests include robotics, intelligent control system, and machine vision.,Dr. Liu is currently an Associate Editor of IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, and IEEE Transactions on Computational Social Systems.
